A British man that has been frequenting tattoo parlors for the past ten years was going viral within the level to which he’s managed to alter his body. He goes by the name Eli Ink, and to say that he’s inked could be a gross understatement. In 17-years-old Eli Ink has been the average white kid from Brighton, England. Now he is 27, and his whole body is black.

To the conclusion of many Eli Ink is the walking embodiment of cultural appropriation. There’s a massive subculture of people like Eli who identify as ‘Modern Primitives.’ They co-opt habits from areas in Africa, Asia, and South America which have for thousands of years employed tattooing and piercing in an right-of-passage. Eli, as an instance, has enlarged ears and nostrils that he fills with metals, stones, and other adornments.
